“Even Castles made of sand, fall into the sea, eventually?” If you still want to try your luck by making a sand castle or sculpture, you must be there at Neptune Festival Virginia Beach. The Sand sculpting Championship is underway at the North America, The Virginia Beach Neptune Festival. The people from around the country gathered here to show off the skills of pure art by using the sand.
The Sand Sculpting Festival was named after the Roman god of sea, Neptune. This Festival is not only about the making of the sand sculptures; one can also enjoy the other activities like sporting competitions, craft and art, the grand parade of King Neptune and last but not the least sand competition.The competition around the festival has no criteria to participate, the professional and the amateurs both can participate in the sand competition. The sand artists use the water to hold the sand and to shape the sand different tools like sprayers, cake cutters, ladders, melon ballers, knives, spoons and other are used. After putting their art in the sand by shaping them, they decorate the sculptures by different means.
The sculptures are worth watching, few snaps are here to show how artistic participant can be while using the sand but Caution: you have very little time to capture the sand sculpture as the water is always behind, it can take and wash away within no time.
